Vintage buttons, vintage badges and napkin rings!

I have had a day sorting vintage bits today. I finished off some jewellery pieces, and photographed and listed some items for Etsy.

These lovely pastel napkin rings.

A very large black button from the 1960's.

I need to photograph these separately and they will appear (!) on Etsy soon.
I have also made some more rainbows that are on Etsy now.

Lastly, a little picture of a couple of pieces in a local shop Bittersweet.
I am selling a few bits on Ebay and I'm sure I'm not the only one finding the new U.K. postage really expensive! How is everyone else finding the charges?
Have a great weekend!

Applique portait etc.....

I am trying to keep to regular 'Etsy' and 'Ebay' stock. It is sooo time consuming. I have delivered a recent order for jewellery, and I have loads I want to still do.. Deep breaths....
Here are a few pictures of what I've been up to, and what has gone onto 'Etsy' etc...
Frida Kahlo applique portrait, inspired by a comment from a friend on Facebook about another of my pictures.

Another portrait that started off from a Kahlo painting and ended up looking more like Wallis Simpson!

I have stored these kitch bits of jewellery for years, but I thought they would go with the Frida idea.

Something to try later!
Two bags on 'Etsy'.

My links gone all strange! It does work though!

Hope you are all having a good day!

Does anyone use the Etsy app on their facebook page?
If so are they any good?
Have a good weekend!

Bright beads.

I am still working on beady things, and another doll is getting a new necklace.
I also upcycled a necklace, by that I mean cleaning, repairing, restringing and generally remaking putting different bits together.

I've added a few new pieces to my Etsy shop.

I love playing with colours, and find the little earrings like very small colour compositions.
I like to look forward to Spring like colours, as looking out of the window,it doesn't seem to be coming anytime soon!

Dollys day out.

As some of you know we are selling our house, or should I say it's on the market, and not going anywhere anytime soon!
As time goes on, the blank canvas house wears very thin, and our bits are coming out of boxes.
I've continued working with my beads.  Ada from Vintage Sheet Addict said the mustard and blue looked good together, I totally agree and as I was in the process of dolly making the colours crept in.

She got a little necklace, but needed another accessory....a bag I thought.

She will be available to buy from my Etsy shop later today.

Bright beady things.

Just a quick post to let you know I am finally working on my Etsy shop.
I managed to work out how to put a link- amazingly it worked after about four attempts.
Over the last few weeks I have been making and photographing -or trying to photograph bits!
I have set up a desk in our front room as I have some orders to do.
I am such a fuss pot when it comes to choosing colours/ styles of things.
Out of three (big) boxes of beads I have selected only a handful  of the beads a other treasures I want to work with.
The photos show some bought necklaces  (to take apart) and some that I have made and that are available to buy from my Etsy shop.
I also decided to mix my work with other finds such as fabrics, beads etc in my Etsy shop.
So here are a few of the items I've been working on!

Some lovely Sanderson fabric, great for crafty projects!

Lastly some truly theatrical costume jewellery.
I have pondered for a long time as some of you know whether to mix made things and vintage finds in a shop, and the truth is I still don't know- but I figured that all my little 'treasures' are part of me and what I like so I am going for it!

Three bags full in wooly Liskeard.

Liskeard Town Team put on another event in Liskeard to celebrate the towns wooly heritage.
My daughter and I did a workshop with a local artist using wooly blankets, and I have just come back from town (a bit wet!) where lots of ladies and gents danced a scarf around the town -as you do!-

We had to think of a story. Eleanors was 'Danny the Champion of the World' and mine was the 'Happy Prince'.
After a wooly couple of hours, I spent an evening doing some more rug hooking.

Slightly odd lighting, but I did stay up till 12 !
Nearly finished.
Now for the wooly fest.
A tractor.
Beautiful alpacas
Mummy alpaca.
Sheep of course.

A giant community scarf was made with the expertise of Victoria Rowan (victoriaknittingfairy)
Twas very very long!
I couldn't take many as I was dancing (ha ha walking!) around town too.
There were a lot more than shown.
Hope you are all having a good Saturday!
